So, devs, if you are reading these posts, please. Like changing this game into more RPG-sh genre with a proper campaign. I feel like there is this near-perfect game basis that could be turned into different experience with not-that-much-effort. better way of conveying the game rules and mechanics (the rules ARE simple if you know how to play the game)Īfter that you could just make more content (don't take me wrong - the game is as complete as dead atm). So tell me, devs, what happened? Are devs even around here? I feel like the core game could use two minor fixes (which are issues in most of indie games): I really like solving 'puzzles' of positioning, taking and avoiding risks during battles. high level of satisfaction when I beat an encounter. But then again - I can learn from my mistakes, adjust, and play better next time. One wrong step in this unforgiving world could to TPK. the thrill of battle: every battle I feel like I can perish. original game mechanics which are, imo, perfect original, interesting setting with consistent graphics, mechanics, quests and events This creates this 'immersion' which makes the game stay with you longer than just when it's running. perfect balance between what is shown and what is left to your imagination. And, as HOMM3 is imprinted on my heart and soul, this is the biggest compliment I can give to a game. I feel like if I was 13 again, and this game would have coop/hot seat mode, we would immerse into this game. When I was a kid I spend hours of playing and talking about HOMM3 with my friends. For creating such a gem and for abandoning it, respectively. This makes me want to buy the devs a beer and punch them in the face at the same time. Sorry for a little bit of ranting, but I cannot express how I am devastated by the game's missed potential.
